The Regalados run the online-only Victorious Grace Church in Denver and allegedly targeted Christians in the area with offers for their cryptocurrency, INDXcoin. The currency was only sold on their Kingdom Wealth Exchange, which permanently closed on Nov. 1.
A Colorado pastor of an online church is challenging allegations that he and his wife defrauded parishioners out of millions dollars through the sale of cryptocurrency deemed “essentially worthless” by state securities regulators.
On Jan. 16, Chan and her Division of Securities sued Regalado, his wife Kaitlyn, their online church and their crypto company, INDXcoin. That lawsuit was later expanded to include a dozen people and companies who allegedly received commissions for selling INDXcoin.
“We allege that Mr. Regalado took advantage of the trust and faith of his own Christian community and that he peddled outlandish promises of wealth to them when he sold them essentially worthless cryptocurrencies,” Chan said in a statement.

Concerns abound that altcoins may become tools for anonymous web criminals.
On 30 April 2021, the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey banned the use of cryptocurrencies and cryptoassets for making purchases on the grounds that the use of cryptocurrencies for such payments poses significant transaction risks.

Almost. We have a process that we use to verify assets. Once verified, we create a coin description page like this. The world of crypto now contains many coins and tokens that we feel unable to verify. In those situations, our Dexscan product lists them automatically by taking on-chain data for newly created smart contracts. We do not cover every chain, but at the time of writing we track the top 70 crypto chains, which means that we list more than 97% of all tokens.
Blockchain analysts estimate that Nakamoto had mined about one million bitcoins before disappearing in 2010 when he handed the network alert key and control of the code repository over to Gavin Andresen. Andresen later became lead developer at the Bitcoin Foundation, an organization founded in September 2012 to promote bitcoin.
A hard fork is a radical change to the protocol that makes previously invalid blocks/transactions valid, and therefore requires all users to upgrade. For example, if users A and B are disagreeing on whether an incoming transaction is valid, a hard fork could make the transaction valid to users A and B, but not to user C.
